The ideas consume and begin to grow enabling me to produce these bodies of work that become
transposed beyond the mind through a regime of reworking and rethinking during
each stage of the production.
I find
myself drawn to the human figure, dreams and aspects of nature, I feel we are
all connected through the art of dreams and the written word; the combination
can be electrifying. All my work aims to snap shots my
experiences within the waking and dream world exploring these ideas through
numerous media.
The aim of
my work is to evoke a sense of personal space and realisation of the self.
Through action and the expression of the material, my approach to my canvas or
space is physically deliberate, but with the constant multiplication of ideas
in combination of the limitation of my chosen materials the outcome is always
unpredictable.
Everyone is in contact with some type of art and I try and use the
subject and objects within my work to engage with the viewer, as they may not
have total understanding or may not even enjoy what they are looking at, but
there is something so familiar about the subject, object, context or aesthetic of
the work, an emotion is inevitable.
